Where to place air guide?

I'm getting ready to cut out a window in my case, but it currently has an air guide which goes over the cpu. If I cut out a window, should I place the air guide over the cpu, or over the graphics card, or just get rid of it and put the fan hole in the middle of the window?

The reason I'm asking is because the air guide is fairly close to the exhaust fan (approx. a 2 inch gap between the air guide and the fan) and I'm wondering if I'd get better air flow out the back if the air guide wasnt there.

(If this helps) I currently have 2x 80mm intake on the front, the air guide with a 80mm on the side, a 92mm on the back and a two fan psu.

Here is a link to a picture of what I'm talking about. Its the third picture from the left:

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Personally, I'd try to incorporate it into the window kit if at all possible.

That is, if it works with the location of your processor and actually funnels air down to your processor.

Currently, I couldn't use it because of the blower style fan on my heatsink.

If you don't use it, hang on to it, because you may want to use it later, or someone here may have a use for it and you could make a buck off it.

If it lines up with the processor, and it were me, I'd cut the window in such a fashion as to incorporate it in the design.

Otherwise, I'd consider using it to direct air to/away from the GPU.

Red: OK, that's what I wanted to do, I wanted to leave it over the processor 'cause I think it does help. I just wanted to see if there would be a "more" ideal place for it. I'm using the stock HSF on my processor.

Thanks for your reply.
