Having trouble connecting the s-video out of ibm t40 to tv

I got a brand new ibm thinkpad t40 and I am trying to connect the s-video out to tv. I get to see only the desktop(wall paper) screen but none of the other windows that I open show up on my tv screen. I tried playing around with the display settings but could not figure out anything. Can someone please help me with this

Have you tried updating the video drivers?

since this being a brand new laptop, i just did'nt bother to install any drivers. i will probably try the latest ati drivers

hehe.. you need to move the window onto the TV that laptop is set to have DUAL MONITORS so you have in a since 2 workstations (well almost) you can turn it off in the drivers area if you wish
