im assuming you have it plugged in via USB, so first i would try switching usb ports. if that doesnt work, try reinstalling the drivers. if that doesnt work, and it is under warranty, get a new one. if it isnt under warranty, then i guess you could do surgery but i would reccomend buying a new mouse. good luck!

well... it SEEMS to be working at the moment, maybe it was the mouse port it was plugged into. it can go usb/mouse port. if it stops working again, then i'm going to assume 'surgery' is needed.

i was being a little sarcastic on the surgery part, i mean if you feel confident and know what your doing then its your mouse but i would use that as a last resort. and also opening the mouse up will void the warranty just fyi. but its always fun to take things apart just make sure you have no other options before you do.

Why do you suspect the wire? Is it damaged at all? If you are handy with a soldering iron a repair would be extremely easy. Just make sure you do one wire at a time/label them.

i suspect the wire because i yank on the mouse all the time. it gets caught behind the desk i think. and btw i dont think there's any more warranty on it

when it gets caught it might be a good idea to pull on the wire itself and not on the mouse (thereby straining internal connection to the wire)
