Opinion on website

Well I finally made the layout for the webpage im working on for my class. This is my very first time really getting serious into photoshop and let me tell you, it was a real learning curve for me. there is so much this program can do! Here is what I have, I have made it 800 X 600 and was wondering what you guys thought.

Also I have a question with slicing. When i was wondering if you could tell me if im slicing this wrong and if I will have any problems with the content box. Thanks!
