AMI BIOS access ?
I'm trying to get into a Gateway bios.
I have tried Delete,F1 through F12, Ctrl+Alt+Esc
during early boot up.
The dern machine won't let me in?
Any Ideas
Also while I'm bending yur brain It will not shut down?
Starts fine , restarts fine, but won't shut down.
Windows 98se

I believe hitting pause during boot will keep the screen where it is and maybe it will tell you what you gotta hit to see the setup. Worth a shot anyway.

What model gateway is it?

Do you get a splash screen on boot? If so hit the <esc> button and see whats underneath.

On a reboot (reset button) not a coldboot press the <F-1> key. May also be the <F-2> key. This should let you in. It wont work from a power up.
