ready to power up almost

i've been sleeving the power supply (antec 550w tru control)
and i've taken some molex's off of a few wire strands to do that.

i know i've gotten all the molex's back correctly but is there a way to test the whole supply rather than one sleeve at a time.
Wow! what a job it was.

Also, when i go to "power up", will it be ok to plug in a monitor
without the monitor software being installed. ???? what come
first, the chicken or the egg?

any hints on first startup is appreciated.
