Mass mp3 normalizer

I have over 8GB of (legal) mp3's that I just organized in order to put on my 15GB Dell Jukebox.

The problem is that some albums seem to be louder than others. Whether the actual CD's are louder, or it's an inconsistancy with Itunes' importing job, I still need to fix the problem.

Is there any problem out there that can take large amounts of mp3 files and normalize then to either a predefined volume level, or an average level?

Thanks.

Well, luckily I answered my own question.

The program is called MP3Gain, it's free, and it does the job instantaneously. I had tried 8 programs (most of which costed money to purchase full) and all of them had to re-encode the files when changing volume.

I'm thinking of dropping this person a donation...
