I'd guess that it will look/play more like a MOD though.

If its a mod it'll be like $30. If its standalone Id say $45-50. And yea, I too think if its standalone that it'll be copied by a modder. But I think its just a mod. The engine sure dont LOOK diff. I have the demo of it-came with the deluxe cd set. And it shows Secret Weapons of War too. Both look same cept diff terrain and weapons. No diff in textures-no additional light flairing or anything that would make for more polys etc. Ans secret weapons is just a mod. If it is a new engine-it certainly wasnt needed for more then rights to asking $45 or 50 for it instead of $30. Its down to the waiting game now. Its targeted for release this spring!
and don't expect a demo ... got this off of a Q&A with one of the designers :
"GS: Do you have any plans for a public beta test?
AJM: We are very fortunate to have EA's testing department at our disposal. It is very helpful. We do not have any plans for a public beta test. I'm sorry, but everyone will have to wait for the final game."
