Kids Cmos motherboard problem

If you try to clear the cmos with the computer still plugged in, Does it hurt anything? If I try it again with it unplugged will it correct itself? I'm pesently getting a initial beep followed be 8 quick beeps and then 2 or 3 latter. I have a ECS 7KS5A pro.
I have not tried to redo the cmos yet....

ok first off...don't try it with it plugged in if you havent already

if you have then it won't hurt to try it with it off...but if that wont help you probobally need a new board

also if you already have make sure it is back in the right spot and not accidently still on clear

if you short the cmos memory you will destopry the cmos memory and will be unable to boot. do it with the POWER OFF. No exceptions.
