Has Windows Update ever crashed your computer?

Just wondering how many people have grown to love windows update as much as I have?
I used to set clients computers to update automatically. Not anymore. Had 3 sytems implode in the last month. And sp1 for xp is almost as much fun.

At work we've been told we are NEVER to use Windows update. They get the updates and run them on a test system first, then they're rolled out through the network.

At home, I'm running three different OSs, so I don't have that option.
