Word XP Style problem

Hello all,

I am having a problem with Word XP/2002. I have a number of styles set up in a template. When I open the Styles and Formatting Task Pane, and I hover my mouse pointer over the style in the list, I get the box surrounding the style and a drop-down arrow. If I click the drop down arrow, you get options such as Select All, Modify, Delete, and Update to Match Selection.

The problem is, the Select All option tells me that the style is "Not Currently Used," when it definitely is. I have this same setup on another PC, and it works properly -- it allows me to select all of the instances where that style is used throuhgout my document (it says something like "Used ## times"). But this PC does not let me do it.

I've searched through the options in Word, the help file in Word, the MS Support website, and these forums, and I haven't found any mention of this. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

crow

Ignore me, I found it.

For future reference,

Tools > Options > Edit tab > Keep track of formatting must be checked.

Thanks,

crow
