Need Stable, Full-Featured Mobo

Ok boys. I was VERY happy with my Gigabyte GA-7VRXP, no problems, very stable, decently fast etc.

I need stability. I heard some rumors about problems with the new Gigabyte 7NNXP and started to become wary. I don't want any problems.

So what is a good motherboard for the 2500+?

Stable, with tons of features, (FireWire, Sata, etc) and as few probs as possible.

Price is not an issue.

i donno about the gigabyte, but i just love my nf7-s. rock stable and is among the best overclocking mobos for athlons (along with the dfi boards) it has all of the features u are looking for plus a PATA to Sata adapter (which alon is worth about $25) so i think it would be a good choice for u. other good boards are the DFI lanparty or asus a7n8x e-delux.

All of the motherboards that I have are Gigabyte and I can say that they run pretty great. Great compatibility, very stable, etc.
I have heard great things about Asus and EpoX.

I read a review of socket A 400FSB nForce2 boards a while back and this one was the top rated of the ones tested.
MSI K7N2 Delta-L (MS-6570)
They also have another similar model but with more bells & whistles

These are excellent overclockers, runing Barton 2500+ chips at 3200+

Let me dispel some of the mis-truth's about the gigabyte 7nnxp.
I have the pro and hang out in giga specific forums so Ive seen alot of issues and non issues.

Fact:
Due to the inclusion of the DPS module need to consume power on start up, it absolutely eats weak power supplies, while others have absolutely no problem with it.

The PATA raid solution as stated by those that use it is very slow My particular needs were more storage, not raid so the additional Ide conectors as well as the SATA will come in very handy for me.

There are no mounting holes for hs's that require such.

And Lastly, you cant throw just any old generic/oem ram in it, It absolutely demands good quality, name brand ram that can pass memtest.

Aside from that, you will find it to be an absolutely stable board that you just cant make crash, the nvidia apu -aka- soundstorm is not that bad, im enjoying it very much, and it is a mid level overclocker with most running 200 fsb to about 230 for some.

That is EXACTLY what I was looking for. We are running Enermax 350's and Corsair XMS Memory so it should be fine.

Oh BTW, is PATA the regular old IDE stuff? I know what SATA is, but man PATA threw me off.... WHen did we start calling it that if that is the case? lol

Parallel ATA, this is the 'old' type of ATA HDD's that a lot of us still use.

A very good motherboard is the Abit NF7-S, has amazing features and is quite cheap to boot.
