psu is bad maybe? Or maybe the PSu is switched to 233 instead of the needed 115? Check and make sure thats not the problem. The switch is on rear of the psu.

You only have 3 things left it can be. Your Power supply, memory or video.
If I was working on it I would replace the video card first followed by the memory. Hopefully you have a spare agp video card or even an old pci video card for testing purposes.
Does your memory have to be installed in pairs? If not use one then the other or even better to pop new chips in.
Both bad Video and bad memory can cause your symptoms.
I doubt your power supply is the cause but is possible. If you plug the hard drive in and power the system on does the hard drive go through the initial spin?
The sad part is that many things can cause all the same issues. You almost have to have another similiar system to to troubleshoot it.
I see you tried another psu so scratch that. My bet is still on vid card,

OK then. Everything has been replaced at one point or another except for the memory. Thats where I would go. How confident are you that the memory is a good match for the system? I am not a fan of generic memory myself.
I am not sure about the AMD systems but on the newer Pentium systems the power supply has two separate connections to the motherboard. If this is true for AMD do you have the other connected?

Ram is mismatched.
And I am sure you used a static wristband or similar while handling the the older known working ram as well as the new chip? Static can be quite viscious.
A user at my work used a fax machine last week and discharged a light static spark from her fingers while keying in a phone number on the touch tone pad.
The static fried the display and the keypad on the fax.
Replace both ram chips and get passed your nightmare.

ok set you motherboard to safe mode. That is switch the pin from 133meghtz to 100. See if it boots up to bios. If it does go in and sit your bios to what you need and then power down, and switch the pin back to 133. hope that helps....

NEVER assume that a component is good. I did that and RMA'd a mobo back to Newegg when the original Mobo died right with the Processor ( which was 25+ days old ). By the time I figured out the processor was bad, it was past the OEM return period ( 30 days ). So I'm sitting on a 1700+TBred and running a 1400+thunderbird
Trust me, I will never assume that the parts I have on hand are good until I can verify it in another system.
