This is one of my pet peeves. Just look at the system description...

When was the last time you dropped several hundred dollars on something without checking the details?

Osprey....dont let it peeve you, lol....I was reffering to the spashy ads the general public sees on tv...and the fact that when I pass out business cards the first thing people ask me is if I can match Dells $399 price.

So yeah, I am usually in the habit of checking specs, hehe....but the general public usually wouldnt even know what all those specs mean in the first place....they buy it thinking their 16yr old son will have a nice fast new machine to play "might and magic" on......hehe.

I hear you. I know a guy who bought a system from Dell several years ago that had integrated graphics, although the system was described as having "on-board AGP graphics" (they've stopped using that description). But being a low-end machine, he understood that he should have looked more closely.

I'll offer advice to those buying computers for their kids to steer clear of the 2400, the kids will eventually want to play something that system can't handle. But for many people, it's more than adequate.

Dells are OK but they lack what you can get better at that price range.
