Wireless public internet question

What problems if any may I run into hooking up a wireless internet connection for our customers to use while they are waiting around? I work at a ski area and have had lots of people ask to hook up to a cat cable to check emil so I figured why not put in a wireless acces point.

if you have no limitations

Web surfing is very difficult to limit because its all on the same port... so unless you block every pornsite on the net (virtually impossible) chances are somebody can get to the sites.

Hacking is serious problems you don't want to just throw the network up there with no security.. you may want to seriously consider getting some sort of a consultant.
File sharing isn't as difficult to block but still can cause problems..
You'll definately need a firewall to block specific ports used by popular file sharing utils like kazaa.

It really depends on how much you want to spend and how much you can do yourself, or willing to pay somebody else to do.

If you are serious about it you will want to get a proxy service like websense. I think they are a proxy... anyways they are fairly decent at blocking most sites you dont want peopleing going to, mainly porn but it can also be setup to block stuff like weapons and such if you wish as well as block certian websites. You will definatly want to keep your wired lan where you do work and such seperate from the wireless network which means you will need a second IP from your ISP for the wireless network that way people on the wireless cant mess with your wired computers.
