NTLDR missing....But also????

I got the dreaded NTLDR missing. Wasnt a problem because i didnt mind restoring the system from the recovery disks. I had nothing on it i cared about. But in the middle of recovery i get the blue screen on winxp that says its shutting down to prevent damage and check about any new hard ware software changes blah blah blah. Anyhow Is there something I may have forgotten to do? I dont know what im doing wrong or if the ntldr errror was caused by something else in the first place....im lost please help

hmm...could it be heat...also could be mem errors...try testing with www.memtest86.com

Thanks man I did remember an earlier error about memory. Should i pull the sticks out and test em on another pc? cus i cant get that one to even boot.
