Windows 98 Geforece2 Mx

I'm having a problem installing a card my friend gave me. When I put it in the AGP slot, and plug everything back in. My tower just keeps making a beeping noise, and my monitor wont recieve the input (i guess) it wont display anything when plugged into the card. Do I need to tell BIOS to shut up with the intigrated grpahics? And how do I do that?

Yes, you probably need to disable the integrated graphics. Not knowing your system, I can't tell you exactly how to do it but there should be a setting somewhere regarding integrated video or something like that.

Do you know how to get into the system setup (BIOS)?

Yes I know how to get into BIOs. I changed the graphics output from PCI to AGP. but how do I turn off the intigrated graphics?

The system's a four or so year old HP Pavillion 4445. Mobo is unknown.

Here are some general instructions. Looks like you must disable the integrated graphics in Windows first. Perhaps there is no way to do this in the BIOS. I have an old Dell Optiplex with the same setup.

Many older computers have a jumper on the mainboard to disable integrated graphics. I'll see if I can find anything specific on your mainboard.

Some sources say that this Asus mainboard was used in the Pavillion 44xx series:

It says something about disabling integrated graphics in the jumper settings section, might be useful. Good luck with it
