Kids CDRW media ruined by improper setup, psssible?

Because I have an old version CDRW drive I am not sure if this is supported by Nero6. My drive is working ok with Adaptec Easy CD software but I need functions that Nero is handy to offer.

I was always thinking I have nothing to lose by using CDRW media, simply because if it doesn't work, I can use the media again. Is it good enough to say this statement is always true?

I ask this because I burnt off 2 Disks already - one is a CDRW and the second a CDR. I hadn't tested the CDRW media before I tested with Nero demoversion but now I can't even do a erase for it. I wonder if I should try another CDRW? Not a big deal to ruin another RW media. But really interested to see if someone ever has experience that a improper selection of burning software (or wrong compilation settings) could ruin a cdrw media.

I have had a lot of CD-RW's fail to burn (for different reasons) and although windows wont recognize them, I have always been able to have the burning program erase them, so they are like brand new.

PS Easy CD creator and NERO don't run well when they are both installed on the same computer.

The same thing has happened to me. Out of desperation I tried erasing the CDRW with the built-in feature of XP, It worked, Nero failed, Clone CD failed, Roxio 6 failed.

Thanks. Is this what you mean?
"Following a burning failure, the media is erased, and then if you try re-using it to burn, it may work as using a brand new one, and next time it may burn without failture."

I noticed Easy CD and Nero do not like living together. I noticed the point before installing Nero, therefore I actually installed Nero in a different partition. Apparently someone here has confirmed that my CDRW media could always be re-used after a burn failure. Maybe I should take that advice and do another CDRW test burn under Nero.
