Quick (and hopefully easy) Q about Burning DVDs

I have a large amount of data I'd like to back up onto DVD's. The only DVD burner I have access to is a Mac Superdrive. My question is- if I burnt the DVD on a Mac, will it be readable from my computer (a PC)? The burning software I'd use is Roxio Toast Titanium 5, do I need to use any special settings or just burn it like normal? I looked at the process yesterday and I didn't see any reaily apparent options to burn for either PC or Mac.

I don't have any of the hardware or software that you have said, so YMMV. But, I think that since it is DVD, that format is a universal format for storing data on a DVD. As long as you have a DVD drive in your PC, anything you put on your DVD should be readable by your PC.

There is one thing though...

If they are mac format files and not windows/pc files (i.e., Mac .bin file instead of Windows .exe file) then that's a whole different ballgame. As long as the files are PC compatible, then you will be fine.

Have I confused you? I hope not. If you need further clarification, just LMK.

Nope, that clears it up. I suspected that DVDs were universal but wasn't sure.

And yes they are windows format files. Thanks!
