It's telling you it thinks it would be dangerous to open it.

Are you sure of the source?

It means the attatchment is dangerous, so you really don't want to open it.

when you update to ie 6 sp1 it automatically blocks all incoming attachments by default.

*NOTE: make sure you know the file is clean before opening*

Send a message via AIM to phenious
look in the settings. It should be somewhere in there but I am not sure as I dont use it. Just make sure your e-mail is clean each time before you open as with some of the newer worms and virii they move on your own and your family members may not know they are spreading bad things.

Not to dispute if email from your sister is harmful or not.. Just realize many virus/worms will email themselves and use fake from addresses created from entries found in the victim's Address book.

That is a good point. About a year ago, I received an attachment from my daughter...it looked important, and I nearly opened it because she does not open anything unless scanning it first by an up-to-date NAV. (No antivirus application is 100%). I decided to call her because the email did not explain the reason for the attachment nor what it was about... very out of character for her. I'm glad I did...she was infected and didn't know it. A worm had slipped by NAV...
