chkdsk question

W2K.

Am running chkdsk.

Did the /p and said one or more errors.

Doing /r and it's slowly going through the process.

I see the "dos" prompt is C:\WINNT.

Should I have done a CD C:\ ?

In other words I'm wondering if all that is being checked is WINNT and not the whole drive.

when i run chkdsk /r all it tells me is one or more unrecoverable problems, and I get that message the instance I hit enter. I have been getting blue screen UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME.. It doesnt even go through a process on my computer. It just gives me that message. Is something wrong with the chkdsk?

Did you try fixboot?
I had the Unmountable drive error....i did the chkdsk/p (but had no probs), then done fixboot...it then booted normally.
