fatal exception message

I keep getting "the blue screen of death" annoying to say the least. I have searched the microsoft data base but cannot find how to fix it. The computer freezes up and I get the message:
A fatal exception OE has occured at 0028:c000BD1D in VXC(01) + 0000AD1D.

Can anyone tell me what this is and how to find the resources to fix it?

are you doing anything specific when it happens?

Have you made any hardware changes lately? software changes?

what operating system?

nope no hardware changes, or new software. I use W98, P111, 550 mhz 30g hard drive with 264r.

it seems to happen if i have my outlook window open and want ot go to my browser, IE v6.
my computer is 3 1/2 years old and my hard drive was replaced a year and a half ago.

don't know what else to tell you, hope this is enough.
