you can get two network cards, two cat 5 cables and a hub or a switch and game away for hours

cant you also do it with just a crossover?

yes get a crossover cable and the two nic's and set up a simple network...but a switch isn't a bad idea...then you could hook up even more computers...or a router if you want to share a broadband connection between them
