greeeaaat, Win2K wont boot...

running win2k, amd 2500+, and corsair 256megs of ram, with WD 40GB HD primary, and 120GB HD slave.....

so i boot up the computer, get through the bios, the first start up sequence of 2k, then the screen where it shows the actually Windows 2000 blah blah, the color screen where the quarter bar in the middle bottom... RIGHT after that bar loads all the way up, i get the error message that you see on the picture... physical memory dump.... contact system administrator

i had that..i just pressed F8 for the boot options menu and selected 'Load last configuration that worked' or something like that and it worked

Didn't work.

Ended up slaving drive to another 2K system and after scanning for viruses and trojans came up with 5 trojans.

Am in the middle of re-formatting right now and hopefully can re-install.

currently am reinstalling programs.... just bad luck and some trojans, which were gator and trickler

Once you are up, it is a good idea to create a profile which you can access at start up, as Piano Man suggested.

Those will be your last good config choices.
