I'm looking at something wrong

Win Xp Pro, ctrl+alt+del, gives me a lot of info, but not system resources that are free like in win98se

it would say 56% system resources are free when you clicked the last tab

unless Kernel memory is system resources

ctrl+alt+del brings up the task manager

Select the performance tab, nice little graphs, with info at the bottom

also the performance tab will show you how much is free.

if you could be more spicific as to excatly what it is that you need to know, there will be a option to se it.

Nice to see ya, GT. Yeah 1 gig is kinda overkill. Here's a shot of mine with 3 xplorer windows open, Windows media player going, and a photoeditor working.

I rarely use over 256 K of the 1 GIG

hey bailey, it's not the installed RAM I'm talking about and in the process list it gives how much RAM is being used

what I'm talking about is what was "system resources"

in 98se when you right clicked my computer on your desk top, you got a popup with 3 tabs abd if you clicked on the last tab it would tell you how much system resources were free, very different from free RAM

but like I said no problems here just wondering
