At Home OCZ DDR333 & MSI K7N2 Delta L help??

Memory 200MHz with CPU 2.53GHz @ 3GHz 160FSB
MSI 865PE Neo2 LS
OCZ DDR333 REV. 3.2 (2 x 512)= 1 Gig dual channel

these sticks ran a 4000 mem benchmark using sissoft sandra 2K4 on above system ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I bought the ram and put it in my system:

Athlon XP 2500 @ 2.2GHz 200 FSB X 11 mem running 1:1 ratio
K7N2 Delta L nForce 2 chipset 400 edition
OCZ DDR333 REV. 3.2 (2 x 512)=1 Gig dual channel

my benchmark using sisoft sandra 2K4 bandwidth test 3000

the OCZ DDR333 at 1 gig in dual channel shows no difference then my (generic non-matched) DDR 333 at 512 dual channel

any pointers on why there would be no difference in performance?
running same 3d2k1 benchmark scores, same sisoft benchmark scores as my old DDR.

looks like you stumped the TechIMO community..... j/j

If you look at my pic posted in the gallery, I had the exact sticks running at 4000+ dual liner mode on my P4 system which you listed

P4 2.53GHz @ 3GHz (FSB160x19)
2x512MB DDR333 OCZ REV. 3.2 Cas. 2.2.2.8 @ 400(200x2)MHz
MSI 865PE Neo2 LS
WD 60GB ATA/100 7200RPM
ATI RADEON 9800 NP w/ Tt Giant II Heatpipe
etc.
etc.

BTW: It's Obi-Wan-Kanobi

think i did?? , not many views ....come on guys...I know someone knows what might be the problem if any...

again...used generic DDR333 (2 X 256) dual channel ran around 3000 benchmark

put in OCZ DDR333 REV. 3.2 (2 x 512)= 1 Gig dual channel runs same benchmark scores.

roflmao Sweeper

What timings are on the ocz and the generic? If they are the same timings then they'll get the exact same benchmark.

Maybe no one wants to butt into family bickerings...

What timings did you use on your old generic sticks and what are they now on your OCZs? If they're the same, I can see why there wasn't such a big improvement on your score. You're basically running both sticks at 200MHz, so the difference isn't that noticeable.

Question: Why did you decide to go with DD333 and overclocked it to DDR400 when you could have just gotten DDR400? I'm guessing price, but I thought that DDR400 modules are around the same price as DDR333 now.

Edit: I'm always too slow! Just one minute behind someone.

a p4 is quad pumped.
that means it sends data 4 times each cycle.
amd only sends data twice each cycle and that is double pumped.

going from 512mb to 1 gb makes the memory slower as it twice as much.
the difference between cas 2 2.5 and 3 is not that big.
the difference between cas 2 and cas 2.5 is the same as between xp2000 and xp2100

the higher fsb the faster the memory gets on amd machines
anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong which i dont think i am
