tv out help please!!

I have the ATI Radeon 9600 with tv out, but have not been able to use the tv out function. The TV is connected by a composite cable, and when the PC is switched on, both displays show the startup screens, but the TV display disappears when the login screen is reached. And the TV is not recognised by the computer. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

Welcome to TechIMO!!

Did you activate the TV display in the ATI settings?

little eloboration...

Right click your desktop. Select Properties. Goto the settings tab. Click the second monitor, Monitor 2, and make sure the check box that says Extend my desktop to monitor is checked. You may also have to click back on the first monitor and selected advanced. And in the new box that pops up click on the displays tab and make sure you click the powerbutton on for the TV screen. A Red power button means that it is shut off.

Thanks phenious!!

I have an 8500 and wasn't totally sure what the 9600 setup boxes for the display were with that card.
