Systems Animations are Gone!!

Well this is an issue I have recently discovered. I had it a while back and I couldnt find an answer to the problem. It seems that I cant see animations anymore. I dont know what it is, but it seems to only affect IE. I use both IE and Mozilla Firefox and with Mozilla there is no issue at all. But with IE I cant see animations. For example the eyes on my avatar should move, to me they are stuck, no animation. Also super_gerbils avatar is still, and Outs I cant even see. Blank. And the smilies I see without any animation at all. What can it be? I use anti spyware programs (Spybot and Ad-Aware) and clean my computer regularly. Anti virus and Firewall are also available in my computer. I have cleaned all the cookies, temporary IE files, eferything you could imagine with no results. This didnt seem to happen when I used Norton Internet Security program, firewall, but I cant use it no more since I am behind a hardware firewall and it gives me issues. So I am using Zone Alarm with no problems at all. But could it be ZA that is making this? I mean its ad and pop-up blocker? I havent disabled it yet to see if thats the cause of the problem, but still I dont think it is. Please help me. I am clueless

I disabled Zone Alarm and voila! Now I can see animations. But why this? I want to be able to see animations while it blocks ads and pop-ups. Is this something that can be done? I dont want to change firewall because of this. What should I do?

Problem solved! There was an option in this category in ZA that said animations. If you have it checked ZA will block animations. So I unchecked it and now I can see animations again. And still it blocks pop-ups and ads. It was simple after all, just couldnt find a solution.

Wow Dan, this thread gives new meaning to the term 'self help.'

Thanks alot just the same. I've been having that same problem for months.
Never noticed the animation box in ZA.

Hey Dan, thanks!

Especially for the screen shot. I had no idea my ZA was blocking animations!

LoL!! @ Bill
Well someone has to be the first one right?
Well Since I found the solution by myself I wanted to share here at TechIMO so that if other people are experiencing the same problem they can fix it. Seems that it was helpful for people after all huh? I love to help!

BTW, out of curiousity, you don't happen to carry on conversations with yourself? Do you?
