Software Needed,What to use

My Dad is running a cattle farm, and is getting to many cattle to keep track of which ones had calves, quality control,as well as various other things that like vacinations,ECT.
So here is the problem.Mom is going to be taking care of the inventory and needs a nice easy to use software that will allow her to do all the necessary data. But she has never used a computer before. So to make my job less impossible, what is the best, easiest, software to buy for her.Like I said the easier the better.

Maybe we could just scan the cow and have all the info logged

All suggestions welcome

TIA

Do you have Microsoft Office? You could probably toss together a simple Access database based upon a quick template in a couple of hours.

Don't try to explain the database to here, just tell here to fill in the data fields when prompted.

Otherwise, there is probably a program made specifically for this purpose. However, I may be from TN, but I have never farmed a day in my life, so don't ask me.

Edit: ^ Looks like HB had a similiar idea.

I think I do have a copy of office laying around.maybe I'll tinker with that tomorrow and see what damage I can do.

And I'll check out the link HB thanks.

She is buying a new PC when the taxes come in,so I have a couple of weeks to figure something out that will work for her,or should I say that she can work?
