home networking??

I am currently digging though the older posts here but if you know of a good one to send me right to i would appreciate it.

any way
cable modem
Dlink 4port +wireless router
3 puters Win2kpro
2 lapies 1win2kpro and 1win98.

i would like to network them all and still keep them secure behind the router?? I also would like them to be able to share the printer on the main unit...
A. main puter work and play (AthlonXP3000) Win2Kpro
B. MP3 player and websurfing (athlon700) Win2Kpro
C. FTP server PIII something Win2Kpro
D. lappy one work and stuff (WLAN P4 3.6) Win2Kpro
E. Lappy 2 for travel and websurfing (P2) Win98SE

Rather straightforward.

Follow your routers instructions and wireless instructions, run your cables you need and you should be setup in no time.
