ADSL/Phone filters??

I'm getting ADSL over the weekend. I only have one actual phone socket in the house. There's a three-way splitter on that at the moment - do I need to put filters in all three of them, or just on the socket underneath? One of the three will go to the modem, the other two go to phones by extension cables.

You need to put the filters on the lines that go to the phones. Do not put one on the line going to the modem.

like jarhed said.. just on the ones going to the phones

your modem will not work if you put the filter on that line going to it

I have my internal modem/phone connected to the phone side of the filter and the ADSL line on its side. The modem works just fine. I've used it for dialup when the DSL went out and for faxing.

If you have an internal 56k (or whatever) modem then yes that would need to be filtered too. You do not want to filter the line going to the DSL modem.
