reinstalling op sys question

Why is it that when i was running win2kpro and then reformatted my HD and reinstalled Win2kpro that some remnants of the previous setup were still there??

for example my puter still has a folder called Roxio, which i have not reinstalled yet??
i can prob come up with others if i look

If you reformatted your drive then there's nothing there. Your win2kpro must've put it there. It usually install devices on its own.
