cardboardbox pc problem

I'm not sure if this is considered a mod but ill put it here anyway.
I just build a computer inside a cardboard box so that I could have a lighter more portable computer. The problem is I cant get the computer to turn on. When put in a regular case the computer will turn on. But when in my cardboard case it will not turn on at all. Why is this????

its a micro-atx motherboard

750mhz AMD Duron

392mb of pc133 ram

40 GB WD hardrive

200w PSU

and a 52x CD-Rom drive

SOMEONE HELP PLEaSE!!!!!

Hi,
Just to clearify, did you connect the power buttons/reset buttons? The computer will not turn on without them, even if your power supply is connected into the wall. You can purchase these buttons (since this is not a standard box) from compusa or microcenter. They usually sell them as kits, including the reset/power switch and power and hd leds. One way of testing it out, is by checking your motherboard manual. You can short out the power_sw header and the system will turn on. (like w/ a pencil) Before you do that make sure you read the manual and know what you are doing.
thanks, paul

yes i took the power, reset switches and the led's out of the case i got the comp parts from. I hooked them up to the mobo...nothin it didnt work. I tried 4 diffrent PSU's.

I know its not the mobo or psu.....what could it be.

You have an incomplete circuit. In the case the MOBO is grounded,
as is the power supply.

Invest in a backpack, or a luggage handle for the case. cardboard
just does not sound like the way to go. Just my humble opinion.

Could you describe how you mounted the motherboard on the cardboard box? Is anything else touching the motherboard except the box itself?
