mashing fan on new Radeon 9600XT

Great new video card, but the damn fan is screwed. anybody know any good cheap replacements?

Pity its screwed, cause just got brand new antec p160 case and everything else is quiet. Willing to spend up to £20 ($30 USD)

Here is the Giant II from new egg. Says it gives off about 28db, not too bad.

Or get this Zalman one. It has no fan, so no noise.

If you want to go fanless in the future, get the Giant or Zalman now. No reason spending money to RMA the card when you want to change the cooling anyways. In the mean time, you can run it. Just underclock it somewhat.

I've used both the Zalman and the Tt Giant II. Both are very nice though the Giant II sorta blocks cooling to your Ram on the Video card. BUT I've never encountered any REAL increases using Ram sinks etc. on any card I've owned. The ZALMAN is open allowing for air to fully cross the card. Both do the trick on the core very nicely. My Radeon 9800 NP 128mb has the Tt Giant II on it now. Runs excellent and my core increase has been tremendous.
