M811LU new mobo wont run

POST dont know what it means but the mobo gets power. CPU fan runs. Measures temp and fan speed in BIOS. Jumper is not set to clear. 100/133 is set to 133 which is actually 266 on this mobo.

CPU used CPU AMD|DURON 1.6GHZ DHD1600DLVC1
Video card reports the 128 mg ram is has on bootup.
reads 500000+ ram
after RAM test and HDD CDROM listing it stops at Verifying DMI Pool Data. sometimes it will say passed/verified and sometimes it just hangs. Moves the Crucial 2100 512 MB stick to DDR slot 2. same problem. Unplugged the reset jumper from mobo (didnt work anyways) Nothin.
Unplugged the sound jumped that connects from CD rom to MOBO.. NOTHIN.
Everything seems to work fine. I took the HDD from an old Gateway essential 500. its WD 80gb. 7200 rpm if it matters. Ran fine. wont recognize the FDD either. Put a disk iin to make it hang and it goes right past it. Lights dont show. Unplugged power and it caught FDD error. Press F1 and it hangs on same message. I do not have any spare parts. I have not set any jumpers to overclock anything Originally I plugged in the front two USB ports to the mobo but in troubleshooting disconnected them.
Onlything connected is the cpu/fan/heatsink no shim.
HDD
FDD
CD R/RW
Video Card

No funny beeps at begining. I even went into bios to tell it to ignore all errors. Wont boot.

Any suggestions?
Any other info needed will be provided. I am a little new at this but everything looks good on this side. OBTW power source is 350W

Durons up to 1.3 are 200fsb. 1.4 and faster are 266fsb. I'm surprised you didn't remember that JP.

Appalbred durons are xp tbreds with some L2 caches disabled and thorton durons are xp bartons with some L2 caches disabled.

Fishguy79, welcome to the PcChips lottery. While some of their mobos works great some are just plain junk. Start over and just put video card, mems, and floppy drive in and try booting from the floppy. Go in bios and turn off everything except for floppy. Add one device at a time.

That sounds like you didn't get the drives attached in a working way. Check FDD and HDD wiring and jumpers.
(The "DMI pool" thing is just the last thing it DOES get done, not where it actually hangs.)

DOH.. thought I already replied.. Had it fixed same night. Was the HDD cable as Peter M stated. I had removed it from olf PC and the cable became partly seperated from the clip or whatever its called. I set it to the side in my workstation mentally noting not to use it so it took me 4 hours to figure out that was the issue.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Everything works great. I messed around with the BIOS and set the CPU frewuency at a higher rate. It went from listing the CPU at 1900 at 133mhz to 2500 as 155... wasnt so stable however. Either that or I picked the wrong progy to end task in task manager. Remind me NEVER to install KAZAA again.

I set everything back to default And I tell ya what I am loving this thing compared to the old. Loaded up old Mechwarrior 3 and set all settings to max in video controls. Man Its a whole new game.
Thanks all

Hey hey hey I didn't say his board was junk. Just a chance.

I did say to start over and go one item at a time.
