Another nice fresh freakin virus---just what we need, says it will come from someone with your address in their addressbook---expect more of them, and from people you know...

If people got a nice electric jolt every time they opened an attachment with a virus, we'd have no virus problem in a week's time. It's simple, really. DON'T OPEN ATTACHMENTS UNLESS YOU ARE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS!!!!

I don't mean to single you out, mad1. You obviously have enough sense to scan things first. But you would not believe how many students and staff here just blindly open any attachment sent to them.

M_Six,
You must be at the U of I?

The postmaster is now stripping the virus off messages. I must have been on the early delivery list.

Yep, UIUC. We can strip attachments sent through campus mail, but we can't control what people do with Hotamil or Yahoo or whatever.

I presume you work in a University like me then? It's so pathetic isn't it?

here - those sites are blocked on the server level - you cannot access them at all -

attachments are stripped too. - regardless of content.
