All files get corrupted when copied!!!

Ok, There's this old windows nt server running now and every compacted, self-extract or installation file that it copies to or gets copied from the files get corrupted!!! The coping process goes smooth but when you try to run the copied file from the other PC it gives you erros messages like "I/O error", "bad OCR" or "file corrupted" always something related to the file being corrupted! I tried coping a good(tested and working) file to the server and then coping it back to the PC and it also got corrupted! Also tried coping though DOS-prompt to no avail! This NT server never did this before I installed SP6(I think it might be the problem!) Any suggestion besides uninstalling SP6? I'm not even sure this is what's causing it! Please help!!!! Thanks!

PIII 500mhz
128 ram
SCSI 20 GB HD
Windows nt 4.0 SP6

I was thinking the same thing, but doesn't SMB checksum copies as it goes?

Ok! This is crazy! I Installed a new Windows in a different HD in the same PC with the problem, replaced the NIC(not same model) and the problem still occurs!!!!! I noticed it only happens to larger files, above 500k or so. But if I download a large file it works just fine! Could it possibly be the Lan cable? Only interfering on large and fast files transfer??? Motherborad? I don't know what else to think! Please help!!! Thankssss

Lan Internet
Windows 98 SE
CAT5 cable
NIC: VIA VT6105 Rhine III: Fast Ethernet Adapter
