PLextor 708A problem!!

Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have`nt post here in a looooooong looooooooooong time, but I`m back!!

and of course I have a problem already!

I just bought a PLEXTOR 708A DVD burner and while I was happy with the purchase, I`m not happy about what is happening, at the point that I might send it back to NewEgg!

I can`t backup any Dvds!
Everytime I get this error at some point: Scheduler O E:VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_4.VOB:23 read error TCSectorReader TCE

I tried 5 different DVDs and still the same error. i`m using CloneDVD latest version and AnyDVD latest version! I also tried DVDshrink, DVDdecrypter, DVDxCopy Express and still no luck.

Then I tried again DvDxCopy Express and this time it read the DVD and wrote it, then i went back to launch the DVD and windows is saying that it can`t read the format or the CD might be corrupted.

I then installed the latest ASPI drivers rebooted and cloneDVD gave me the same error.

Help me out otherwise I`ll send this thing back and no DVD backups for me!

Listen up.. the movie DVDs are too big for a regular burnable DVD. Also, many of them are copy protected to every program so you need to REENCODE THEM with a different program.

I was running AnyDVD in the background which removes all the protection known to men!

And just reading the DVD the drive was giving me errors.

i guess you got one with a manufacturer's defect. RMA

yeah ...I RMAed it. I got a refund instead of a replacement since Newegg agreed not to apply the restocking fee.



I think I`ll get the Lite-On 811S though..... 117$!
