Monitor Problems

Hi, i just managed to pick up an old Rasterops ClearVue color 20T, which has RGBHV cables attatched and hooked it up to my Geforce 4 to replace my tiny 15inch monitor, after about 20 minutes it actually displayed something, but i noticed that (especially on white text on dark background) there is some colour ghosting, a slight red ghost image below the text, and blue ghosting above, i'm using the rgbhv cables that were with the monitor, is this a problem with the cables? should i get a cable for the D-SUB input? is it a sync problem with the monitor itself?

could this be fixed by "adjusting" the guns inside? did loads of searches online, but came up with nothing.

thanks for any help

sounds like you have a convergence problem, esp if this is an old or used monitor. you could try a vga cable (to eliminate that it is a cable problem) but more than likely it it is not the cable.

if you have a local tv or monitor shop, you could try to get an estimate but if this is an old monitor, it is probably not worth it.
