Mecer 244110 keyboard lock on windows install

Hi..

I've just purchased a Mecer notebook, and the first bootup was fine (XP Home), upon putting a DVD in, I got the bluescreen. Ever since, when it came to the login screen, i could not type my password in, as the keyboard just froze, actually the mouse aswell..

Then I tried to re-install XPHome off the cd that was supplied with the notebook, and as soon as the installation starts, the keyboard freezes, thus i cannot push enter to start the installation.

I have tried this on a win2k installation, and it does the same thing.. however if I install off my winnt 4 server or workstation cd, it installs without any problems.

I've also successfully installed Linux (Redhat, Mandrake, Slakware & Gentoo)

It appears to only be winXP and win2k that will not install..

I also cannot get into my BIOS, I've tried everything, it just doesn't see the key being pressed.

Any idea's what the problem might be?
