Food Volcano 11+ Xaser Edition

I have the above processor fan and heat sync. i got it all installed according to instructions and want to use the fan control manually. when i hook it up that way it just act as if i left the jumper on for full fan speed. Ive tried both fan controlers and they have the same effect. i can adjust it but it still stays at full RPM's. ANyone else have this problem or know what to do about it?

I have a Volcano 11+ Xaser Edition crammed into my small form factor system. Other than I had to directly solder the pathetically small wiring due to a break near the connector, the fan controller worked with no problem.

Do any of the controller wires appear even slightly damaged, especially as you get closer to the fan?

no they dont seem to be damaged at all, its like there melded together somewhere creating the same effect as putting a jumper on causing it to run at full speed...maybe ill call the company that makes it and ask them about it

I had one do the same thing and it wasn't long before the fan burned itself out , thank goodness for cpu overheat protection on the motherboard .
Anyway , the company I bought the cano-11 from emailed me they would send a replacement fan right out , that was a year or so ago .
I put a enermax uc-8fab adjustable fan on the cano-11 heatsink and all has been well since .
