What is the best P2P software?

I mainly want it for documents like academic papers and other hobbyist documents. I will of course use it for music but I know you won't believe me when I say I'm not interested in downloading stuff I don't own, it's just more fun getting online than copying off CDs!!!! (i said you wouldn't believe me, why do i bother?)

Kazaa, Kazaa Lite(whatever that is), Grokster, Morpheus ......???

i'm a musician and i used to be able to get loads of free plug-ins for cubase and circuit schematics for DIY recording gear that was quite good fun. that was til i moved house and couldn't get broadband any more .... but now i can in my new one, at last!
