Systems Help with these Diagnostic type messages

Howdy All,

As of yesterday afternoon I seem to be getting these wierd diagonstics that pop up everytime someone logs into their profile. I have no idea what they are, or how to get rid of them. The only thing out of the ordinary I did was install a free upgrade on Sonic MyDVD V4 to V5 yesterday, but I have uninstalled it and these still seem to be popping up whenever I log on. If I close one, they all disappear and everything works fine, but I'm wondering what the heck they are?? Any of you smarty pants have any idea what these might be??

I'm running Windows XP home for an O/S. The program icons that seem to be associated with the DOS looking windows are half black/half white box with a green cross in the middle. I'll paste in the messages associated with the windows I'm getting below:

Thanks for the help,
Max

check in msconfig and see if there are any new things added.. I have this gut feeling ( and no reason for it) that the windows stem from there

Problem is I'm not exactly sure as to what would be new and what was there to begin with in msconfig. I have been there a few times and limited the startup programs, but Maybe I can check the startup tab and see if there's something new.

Thanks,
Max

AzKidd69,

I checked in msconfig and found a program called ssdiag.exe that was running on startup. I stopped it from booting on startup, but not sure whether I should delete the program or not. It does not start now after disabling it. Maybe it's no problem, just don't know where it came from. Thanks for the tip.

probably from that upgrade you did and it just did not clean up like it should have when you un-installed the upgrade. It was probably supposed to be a one time run diagtool that for some reason did not remove itself like it should have.

Does anyone really understand this man's problem?
I have the exact same thing happening on my pc and I want to know why and how to properly address it.
I don't want to delete anything until I know what caused it!
Thanks very much
RickySea

RickySea,

If you look above to my last response. I found in msconfig a proggie called ssdiag.exe so I just stopped it from starting and if I remember correctly, removed it in add/removes programs and the problem was gone.
