considering 9600XT 128MB

Need a new video card within a couple days. I have a GF4 4600ti w/128megs now and my son's computer has a failed video card. So I'm thinking about upgrading mine and passing it down to him.

I like the price/performance of the Transcend ATI RADEON 9600XT Video Card, 128MB DDR, 128-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP for $151
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...156-015&depa=0 ?

Good card (and buy) or am I missing a better choice?

I would go with this card as it is made by Saphire and it also lists the specs as the other doesn't

same price also

I just ordered the 9600XT by Saphire....I will tell u how it performs...it does good in benchmark tests though so IMO it is probably a good buy for the price and u will probably see a little to medium performance jump sense the 9600XT is DX9 and the 4600 is DX8. GL I will post later again when I get my new card!

I considered it, but not worth the cost to me. The main game I play is America's Army. My GF4 4600ti does well, so I only need something with similar performance.

btw, I ordered the http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProdu...talog=48&depa=1

I have the ASUS Ati Radeon 9600XT 128mb DDR with TV-Out and VIDEO-IN, DVI and dual monitor support. The biggest bang for the buck!! all my old games and new games have "zero" problems and the S-Video in has proven to be a large benefit to my family......

might also want to see which ones come with hl2 coupon if you're wanting to get that (if it EVER comes out).
