XP pro stops when installing drivers

Installing Windows XP pro on a new computer just built.
It has
P4 3.0MSI 865pe neo2-fis2r
Mushkin Blue Dual Pack pc 3200 1GB
Hitachi Desktar Sata 80gb
HP cd/rw
msi dvd/cd
9700, pro graphics card

Tried 2 times stops during loading of drivers. cleaned cd
wants to run from the cd burenr oddly enough...could that be the problem

When XP is booting, don't not "push any key to boot from CD", let it boot from the HDD to finish installing the drivers. Or you can reset the BIOS to boot from IDE0 before finishing the install.
