9800Pro freezing!

I just got my brand new 9800 Pro and my games are freezing pretty badly.

I've switched from Catalyst 4.1 down to 3.8 and still freezes! I eve have the quality settings to the lowest...

I also noticed that in my device manager it says i have two video cards...9800 Pro and 9800 Pro Secondary, which i have no idea what that means.

I'm running Windows XP using the A7N8X dlx with a 2500+ and (2) 256 Corsair pc3200 low latency ram.

u may have the setting wrong... or u may have driver conflicts with the old detonator drivers.

pinipig: Isnt detonator nvidia driver? i donno

but to answer your question about the secondary, it's if you use a second monitor on your video card, one on the vga and one on the dvi, so thats perfectly normal.

If it's brand new maybe think of returning it and get another one?

Did you remove your old drivers before you installed your new card?

That's absolutely normal. Your video card supports dual monitors. (Secondary = your second monitor.. using the VGA or DVI output connectors on the card)

Are you using Serial ATA drives by any chance?

Also note, the new Catalyst 4.2's have been released recently. ATI's Drivers & Software

Alright, check your event logs..

Start -> Run... -> eventvwr.msc and check out the Application and System logs for Errors or Warnings

The only reason I asked about the SATA drives is.. because I had possibly the same symptoms
