HELp trying to install xp Pro

Went halfway thru then said the cd wasn't reading correctly so eventually had to quite now trying to start over

But i Keep getting the following message

NTLDR is missing
Ctrl+Alt+del

what is it looking for

the cd might be scratched . if you have another pc take the hard drive out slave it to the other pc and fdisk it and remove the partiton . it is alot easier than trying to fiddle with it for hours trying to find a fix . then try to reload it .

The message comes up when the comp reboots evenwithout cd in?

Made the CD my 1st boot drive right now to get things rolling found same problem on TechIMO

i got that messege when i had bad memory

If i remove one stick of mem and try what steps do I need to take
i.e. bios need to be changed and so forth. plusI got the board , memory, and cpu from Monarch they put that together and tested it so I cannot believe this is bad but who knows
