AIM concern
Recently i recieved an IM from "AIM Systm Mnger"
Saying something like we have recieved concerns that your user of AIM is inappropriate and that he has to investigate. I knew this was just some assh**e so i threw off some curses at him, and such and he signed off (or blocked me...idk). Today, he sends me a direct connect (which doesnt work with me regardless) so to play along with him i click accept. Then he says "I just gave u a macro vi"...to which i respond "no you didnt you noob, im on linux" then he signed off (or blocked me again).
I dont know if this person is just trying to do stuff to me or whatever....but if you ever encounter someone with a name like that, just block them....a person from AIM would never try to contact you. Just wanted to make others aware of whats going around.

what ****** me off is that people can warn you even if you block them, and it will let them do it as high as they want
ugh.. i dont accept from people with 100% warnings, which just means its usually a bot.. but sometimes people with 0 im me and i accept, usually its someone i know, but other time its a pain in the butt i understand your annoyed, but please watch the language

Regardless, I dont think someone alone can warn you to 100%. I think the most they can do is 30% or something like that.

i think youre right about not typing, but "hi, who are you?" and stuff, ya know.. it adds up
the guy who got me got me to 60% before i logged off
probably would have let him go all the way

I didn't think it was legit either but seeing as it happened each time i signed on twice and never responded after that, it must be.

I think it might be script based, but if u accept a message from just one, all the others message you and you get warned up to 100% in about 5 seconds, regardless if u actualy type anything to them or not. Its a real pain in the butt, had it happen to me once and since then I've changed the setting to "only accept messages from people on my friends list" for privacy. watch the language too please
