You need to install the drivers from Sony's website.

Go here and put in your info and it will take you to the page you want with the downloads you need.

Try installing the chipset drivers.
I believe that they are the SiS® 650 Chipset Driver.

When you go to the screen with your system, where EvilRick pointed too. On the left click on Original Drivers.

This should work.

Wha? I put your model number in under their Vaio Desktops and it had a big list of drivers. Click on the link to the side that says "Original Drivers". Here's the direct link to the SiS650 chipset drivers which are what you need.

I've attached a screenshot of the drivers they have.

Stee-range?

Have you installed a new video card as well? If so, go into the BIOS and disable the onboard video.

Also, double-click the USB controller device(s) and see if it says anything about resource conflicts or anything like that.

Even stee-ranger. You could try removing the devices and rebooting maybe the drivers will load then.

So you tried loading the drivers for the chipset and video?

You said you reinstalled XP, did you do it from a recovery CD or an XP CD?
