radeon 9600 pro 128

ok, went through everything to raise my score but can't get it above 12900...ahhhh

3D 2K1 SE

is it just the card or could it be the ram etc. I tried just upping the FSB , had it up to 208 X 11 on an Athlon XP 2500
512 mg DDR generic 333 in dual mode 1:1 with FSB
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128 made by Saphire type Atlantis
MSI K7N2 Delta L nForce 2 chipset 400 edition
13.5 gig Maxter 5400 HD

overclocked card to 456 core/ 355 mem

then upped FSB to 208 X 11 but did it using multiplier etc as not to up the pci cards as well, then took the 9600 up to 480 core and 350 mem before unstable and still unable to break 13000?
tried adjusting voltage up and down and also disabled all programs and set display settings to high performance as well.

any ideas or am I just stuck at this point..don't get me wrong, love the card, works great, just have seen higher benchmarks with the same card.

I agree with Headband... Try some Kingston, Corsair, OCZ ram and see what you can do. Also, try some ram sinks for the card and a nice GPU cooler if you really want to push that card. You are scoring better than I was with my 2.53 @ 3GHz , so I wouldn't complain to much. Most likely your ram isn't able to exceed a 200FSB without having some difficulty. If all else fails, try a watercooling kit

it's running in dual mode now (mem) and its ddr 333 2x256=512
I benchmark it under sandra and it compares to ddr3200 with my FSB at 200 X 11 and my mem 1:1 with FSB. ??

It may run at 200FSB but your Cas: timings will drop greatly causing the ram to actually run slower than if it were set to stock. Take a look into some nice 2x256 matched pair memory for your dual channel. I don't base to much on Sandra... not that accurate IMO.

the scores seem fine for your setup. i score 12900 with my 2500+ at 2.2ghz and my 9600xt at 526/600 in overdrive mode.

Well, for a comparison I got 13074 for the default benchmark, which isn't much over yours and my system is overall abit faster than yours so I'd say you're where you should be.

My Specs:
P4 2.6C @ 3.25Ghz
ABIT IC7 G Max 2 Advance
1Gig PC3200 DDR400 Kingston (2 x512)
ATI AIW 9600 Pro 440/330
WD 36Gig 10000RPM SATA Raptor
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
